TU-K Events

Description

On 30th May 2024, TU-K will host the X-Culture Collaboration Course Award.

The ceremony will be held in the Main Hall. The event will celebrate the outstanding achievement of business students who successfully completed the X-Culture collaboration course.

During the ceremony, the students will be presented with certificates in recognition of their exemplary contribution to the success of the X-Culture Global Collaboration. As part of the course, TU-K students worked alongside students from other universities from over 45 countries drawn world-wide.

The highlight of the event will be a public speech from an inspiring international guest speaker Dr. Elizabeth L. Rose, who is a Research Chair Professor of Business Policy and Strategy at Indian Institute of Management Udaipur. Dr. Rose’s areas of interest are internationalisation activities of firms from emerging markets, especially smaller firms.

Her work has appeared in a variety of top-tier journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of World Business.

She often explores various aspects of how firms internationalise and compete across borders; she works at the intersection of international business, strategy, and international entrepreneurship. She is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Academy of Management Collections, a member of the editorial team for Journal of International Business Studies, and Associate (Deputy) Editor of AIB Insights.

Dr. Joan Lilian Ogendo is the organiser/facilitator of the event at TU-K. In addition, she holds the position of the Chapters’ Liaison Officer of Women in the Academy of International Business (WAIB) and a Member of International Business (AIB) Global.
