TU-K Re-introduces May and September Intakes

The Technical University of Kenya (TU-K) is excited to announce the re-introduction of two admission intakes per calendar year after a 10-year hiatus, following a Senate resolution passed on Tuesday, 21st January 2025.

May Intake

The May intake is specifically designed for self-sponsored students, including:

  • Direct entry applicants from KCSE for diploma and degree programs.
  • Diploma graduates seeking to upgrade to degree programs.
  • Postgraduate applicants pursuing advanced qualifications.

Classes for the May 2025 intake are set to commence in May 2025.

  • Diploma graduates transitioning to degree programs will begin with a pre-semester in May to prepare for entry into the third year of their degree programs in September 2025.

September Intake

The September intake will cater to both Government-sponsored and self-sponsored students, with classes starting in September 2025.

Application Details

  • The application portal for the May 2025 intake opens on 29th January 2025.
  • All academic programs offered will be listed on the University website: www.tukenya.ac.ke.
