Dr MARY CLARE AKINYI KIDENDA Chairperson, Department of Creative Arts and Media (DCAM)
Dr. Mary Clare Kidenda is Chair of the Department of Design and Creative Media at the Technical University of Kenya. A scholar, designer, and educator with a PhD in Design and Visual Arts, with over 20 years’ experience in higher education. Her work focuses on design for development, cultural heritage, and the creative economy. She has led curriculum reforms, secured research funding, and forged key MoUs and partnerships supporting creative sector growth. Dr. Kidenda contributes to national policy and has advanced regional collaboration through funded projects. She champions design research that empowers communities and drives innovation across creative and cultural industries
