Education Cabinet Secretary, Mr Julius Ogamba is now an Honorary Alumnus of TU-K. The CS was conferred this honour by the Chancellor, Dr. Jared Kangwana during the 14th Grduation Ceremony held today 25th November 2025.
The Chancellor noted that the CS was the first in his capacity to grace a TU-K graduation ceremony. “You are the very first Cabinet Secretary for Education to grace a TU-K graduation ceremony. Even though TU-K is located just a stone's throw from Jogoo House—barely 200 metres away—in the entire history of this institution, no Cabinet Secretary has ever attended a ceremony of this magnitude and national importance. Your presence today is immensely valued, Mr. Cabinet Secretary, and we do not take it for granted.”
“As a show of deep appreciation, now in my capacity as the Chancellor, I confer on you, Bwana CS, the title of Honorary Alumnus of the Technical University of Kenya. This position gives you the rights and all privileges enjoyed by the alumni of this great institution.”
The CS accepted the conferment, stood, and bowed before the Chancellor.
