The Technical University of Kenya through the School of Graduate and Advanced Studies (SGAS) presented copies of Masters and PhD projects to the Kenya National Library Services (KNLS). This initiative marks the beginning of a partnership between the two institutions.

The team led by the School Director Prof. Joseph Lalah including; Mr. Fredrick Oloo and Susan Marylynne were received by Principal Librarian Virtual Library, Mr. Raymond Chepkwony; Assistant Deputy Director, Preservation and Conservation, Mr. Richard Rono; Acquisition Librarian, Mr. David Cherop; and Librarian Buruburu KNLS- Caroline Lenosingiran.

The presentation comprised a total of 123 theses projects, including 78 Masters and 45 PhD dissertations. These academic works represent the culmination of rigorous research by the university’s postgraduate students. The projects span a wide range of disciplines from the three faculties.

The thesis projects will be made accessible to the public through the KNLS. This initiative aligns with the university’s commitment to knowledge sharing and the promotion of research culture. It also underscores the role of academic institutions in contributing to the country’s intellectual resources.

TU-K and the KNLS expressed optimism about this partnership, viewing it as a step towards enhancing the accessibility of academic research and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing in the country.

This initiative is expected to benefit researchers, academicians, students, and the general public who frequent the library for scholarly resources. It is a significant stride in promoting research and advancing academic excellence in Kenya.
